Someone asked me recently what do I think are the biggest mistakes and errors we are making in the church today. Here is my humble reply in no particular order.
1. An unhealthy fixation on the large
2. An unhealthy fixation on the small
3. Replacing leadership with celebrity
4. Thinking good brand recognition equals genuine witness
5. Creating spiritual consumers rather than disciples
6. Mistaking hype for the Holy Spirit
7. Confusing Christianity with Bad Right Wing Politics
8. Confusing Christianity with Bad Left Wing Politics
9. Worshipping surface over depth, and thus creating a whole generation of young adult christians who live double lives
10. Mistaking shouting for saying something worthwhile
